French Bowline

French bowline is a variation on the king of knots, the Bowline. In this version you get two loops instead of one. The French bowline is not quite as popular as its siblings, but it has its advantages: For example, it can be used when you need to quickly and easily hoist yourself up the mast of your boat. Just adjust the size of the loops so you can thread the legs in. You could say that it is a simple version of a bosun’s chair. It can also be used as a handle when water skiing, in case you forgot your regular water ski line. A French bowline is not as good for mooring as the classic Bowline, but is still good to know!
