Anchor line with chain – visible in water
Anchor line with chain. The anchor line Synsten is developed in colorful orange and patterned white/black to provide increased visibility underwater. This makes it easy for you and other boat owners to see the rope more clearly, unlike if the anchor line were dark blue.
At one end of the anchor rope (the one closest to the anchor) is a 3 meter long chain, which is protected by a wear guard made of wear-resistant polyester. This protection is to reduce the rattle that can occur in connection with the anchor line being pulled over the boat’s rail, or when the rope is in the boat. The chain also ensures that our anchor rope with chain sets the anchor in the correct position when it settles on the bottom.
PolyRope anchor lines end with a straight shackle ready to be attached directly to the anchor. This anchor line is not leaded. We use chain instead, which is more gentle on our waters.
How long anchor rope?
We recommend that you have 5-6 times longer anchor rope than the water is deep. The reason you need such a long rope is so that the angle will be right against the anchor when it reaches the bottom and needs to be stuck.
