In later times real natural hemp has begun to be replaced by synthetic hemp ropes, since these tend to last longer outdoors. More and more choose for example to use hemp rope for their stair railings.
This four-stranded hemp rope (36 mm) is not recommended for outdoor use since it can rot within a couple years. Instead, use a synthetic hemp rope. A genuine hemp rope has a scent that is difficult to replicate in any other synthetic rope. Additionally, it is very easy and comfortable to work with.
