Swing rope – Suitable for swing set or tree. Easy to adjust height

When you buy a ready-made swing, it often comes with a polypropylene rope. A cheap rope, made of the same material as tarpaulin rope, for example. After a couple of years in the sun, the rope starts to crumble and becomes less comfortable to hold.
The PolyRopes Swing swing rope is made of polyester silk, which is unbeatable when it comes to weather, wind and the sun’s degrading UV rays. In addition, it is very durable and will stay soft and pleasant.
This swing rope is made of three parts (3-strand), which makes it easy to create your own loops for attachment around a tree branch or in the swing set. Each rope comes with a protective cover that you can use to protect the tree branch and the rope. If you have fixed hooks in the swingset, protect the rope with the protection cover.
The swing rope splits into two parts that are attached to one side of the seat board by tying knots underneath. The ends of the rope are sewn so that they are easy to thread through and do not fray.
The end is used to make a loop around the tree branch or in the swing set. Don’t forget to put the wear protection in the loop before making your Shoemaker’s split.
What thickness/dimension of the swing rope should I choose? 12 mm or 14 mm?
Use the diameter of the holes in the seat board as a basis. Standard dimensions are usually 12 mm. If you can drill the hole to at least 14 mm, you can choose the slightly thicker swing rope.
What length of rope should I use for the swing?
You’ll have to measure, but for a standard height swing set, 3 metres of rope is perfect.
To attach the rope to a tree branch, 8 metres of swing rope or even 13 metres of swing rope is suitable.
