Tarred marline – treated with real wood tar!
Tarred marline, with its classic scent, was once used for sailor’s work, knots, tacking and sail repair. Today marline is used for many other things, such as macrame, binding plants and flowers outdoors, as whipping yarn, gift wrapping string and for decor. The twisted marlin is treated with real wood tar, which makes it resistant to rot, UV light, salt water and other external factors.
