How we manufacture our products
How we manufacture our products
Selling products via e-commerce today places high demands on quality, durability, and customer satisfaction. Our ambition is to develop products that last a long time and work really well in everyday life, whether it’s mooring lines or other accessories you need for boating. We want to be the obvious choice for boat enthusiasts looking for sustainable and innovative solutions.
But how do we actually get there? Here we tell you more about how we work with environmental considerations, material selection, and manufacturing processes to deliver products that you can be proud to use.
Focus on sustainability
As boat owners, we all have a responsibility to protect the environment and the future of our oceans. The effects of climate change, such as rising water levels and changing ecosystems, can threaten the boating life we all love. That is why environmental awareness is an important part of our product development.
Although there are still no completely environmentally friendly mooring lines, we are actively working to manufacture products that last longer. Long service life means you don’t have to replace products as often, which is good for both the environment and your wallet. We also make a careful selection when developing our products. You will not find ropes and boat accessories that are harmful to the environment and our surroundings in our range.
Well-thought-out solutions for the future
To make our products as sustainable as possible and reduce our climate footprint, we focus on three things:
- Sustainable material choices: The products are manufactured using high-quality raw materials that can withstand harsh conditions.
- Long service life: UV-resistant and durable ropes that do not wear out quickly
- Efficient design: Integrated shock absorbers in the Dockline and Storm series save resources and are more cost-effective for you as a boat owner.
Materials and manufacturing processes
We only work with factories in Europe to ensure high quality and short transport distances. This contributes to a lower carbon footprint and gives us confidence that both working conditions and materials are of a high standard.
Local manufacturing in Sweden
All products are manufactured at our factory in Vårgårda. This gives us full control over quality and production. If something does not meet our or the customer’s expectations, it is our responsibility to rectify it.
Why do we use polyester?
Most of our mooring lines are made from polyester silk. It is a durable and UV-resistant material that is particularly well suited to marine environments:
- Withstands the sun’s UV rays without weathering
- Withstands heavy stress and daily use
Our Storm series with integrated shock absorbers is a good example of how we combine smart solutions with practical use and environmental considerations.
We want to improve for both you and the environment
We are not perfect – the boating industry still has a long way to go when it comes to reducing the use of plastic. But we work every day to become better. Through small improvements, new ideas, and a strong commitment, we hope to contribute to more sustainable boating.
