Buoy rope

Our buoy line Polystar is the ideal line for mooring at a buoy. Made of durable pp (polypropylene) with lead in every strand. The buoy line is polyurethane coated to reduce fouling, making it easier to keep clean.

Buoy line PE is a unique line made of polyethylene with lead in each strand.
Available as a finished product with wirelock, thimbles, floating body and shackle.

Mooring at buoy

Rope-/chain length between buoy and bottom anchoring point should be customized to water depth. In order to achieve good shock/jerk absorption between buoy weight and boat the chain length should not be less than 1,5 times the water depth and mean water level.

Assembly

At the bottom, attach the buoy line or chain to a weight; for example, a cast concrete block, P-ring, or similar. Use chain or rope between the bottom weight and the mooring/docking buoy. There are ready-made kits with line, thimbles, floating body and wirelocks. The only thing you need to add is a bottom weight and a mooring buoy.

Moor using a regular docking line from boat to buoy rod.

Mooring buoys

Mooring buoys from well-known PolyForm in Norway. Available in foam-filled and air-filled versions, as well as with long or short rod.
