Buoy lines

Our lead-free buoy line O-Boj is a lead-free alternative that is gentle on our waters. Instead of using lead, we have combined two lines with both floating and sinking properties. One floats and is made of Polystar, while the other line, which sinks, is made of polyester.

Bojlina PE is a unique line made of polyethylene with lead inserts in each strand.
Available as a finished product with wire locks, thimbles, floats, and shackles.

Mooring at a buoy

The rope/chain length between the buoy and the bottom attachment must be adapted to the water depth. To achieve good shock absorption between the buoy weight and the boat, the length of the chain should not be less than 1.5 times the water depth at mean sea level.

Installation

At the bottom, attach the buoy line or chain to a weight, such as a cast concrete block, P-ring, or similar. Use a chain or rope between the bottom weight and the mooring buoy. Ready-made kits are available with ropes, thimbles, floats, and wire locks. All you need to add is a bottom weight and mooring buoy.

Mooring buoys from the well-known PolyForm in Norway. Available in foam-filled and air-filled versions, as well as with long or short tenons.

Buoy line: Strong rope made of durable polyethylene or polystar with lead in each strand. Order the desired length and make your own buoy mooring. If you prefer to use chain, these are available in ready-made lengths and dimensions.
