Mooring buoys

Choose a mooring buoy with the right size, lifting capacity, and high quality. A mooring buoy must be able to withstand the weight of the chain, but should not be so heavy that it can be pulled under the surface under heavy loads.

We have mooring buoys with short and long tenons/arms. It is important that the buoy has the right dimensions to withstand heavy loads. The dimensions of the loops and tenons must be at least 1.5 times the thickness of the chain, but not thinner than 13 mm (protective covering on the tenon not included). If a fender is used, its strength must not be less than that of the buoy.

We recommend that you choose a buoy made of hard plastic that is also filled with foam.
