Assembly instructions for Buoy anchor line POLY-SAFE

All components shown in image are included upon delivery.

The first section of the line, meaning from shackle and thimble to the wire lock situated above the float, is pre-assembled at the factory. For the remaining section, you adjust the length according to distance to buoy and according to the splicing instructions included in the delivery.

You may choose the placement of the float, however the purpose is to assemble it so to ensure no part of the buoy anchor line is located along the sea or lake bottom, therefore avoiding the line disturbing the vegetation surrounding the bottom weight (e.g. mooring anchor).

Splicing instructions

1. Mark 60 cm on line Press line end inward so you have two strands on each side.
2. Add the thimble and pull tightly.
3. Line end should now be entered once again ca 5 cm from the first entry. Obs! Two strands on each side.
4. Another insert 5 cm from the previous one.
5. Another insert 5 cm from the previous one.
6. The other end should extend 10 cm, where you then should secure your splice with a wire lock so the line cannot wander backward due to tugging and other straining. Pull on lock tightly and preferable place said lock as close to the exit point of your splice. It is advantageous if you add a small whip at the X mark in order to lock the thimble properly in place.
7. At last… connect your last 20 mm shackle and connect to the buoy!
