Soft shackle by HMPE
This soft shackle is both light-weight and flexible, but at the same time really strong as it is made of HMPE, which gives it a very high breaking strength. Other advantages of a soft shackle are that it does not rust, it does not scratch and therefore does not damage, and it does not rattle.
The soft shackle is very light and is very easy to open, even after heavy loads. It also floats in water.
Breaking strength:
- Small: 1000 kg
- Medium: 3200 kg
- Large: 5000 kg
- X-Large: 6000 kg
Workload: 20% of the breaking strength. When using the soft shackle, it should not be loaded with more than 20% of the breaking strength (safety factor 5:1).
You can use the soft shackle to moor your boat, to attach the anchor line to your anchor, for sailing/rigging or for towing. The applications are many!
