Wide range of sheet ropes:

We offer sheet ropes in various lengths, thicknesses and strengths depending on the size of your boat and your own preferences. For those who want maximum strength with minimum stretch, a Dyneema core sheet rope is highly recommended. It is important that your sailboat's sheets is durable and UV-treated to last for many years on the boat. Our sheet ropes have maximum wear resistance and are dimensionally stable (does not change its shape), to be able to pass several blocks.

Which sheet rope fits my sailing boat?

It is the winch that determines the size of your sheet rope. The most common thickness tends to be between 8-12mm. Our advice is to check which dimension is currently used on your sailboat. If that thickness is easy to handle you can use the same dimension. However it might be good to be aware of the following: a thicker sheet often lasts longer and is easier to handle.

Extend the life of the sheet rope:

Do you take care of your sheet ropes by e.g. If you wash them at 30 degrees with a gentle detergent, they can last a long time. Sheets that have been exposed to salt water and UV radiation for a long time can lose strength and should be replaced when they start to show signs of wear.

The thicker the braiding of the sheet casing, the higher the percentage of durable material in the casing at the cost of a somewhat thinner core. (the other way around as in the case of halyards, where the core is most important). The sheet rope's core is braided in order for the line to be able to maintain its shape as best as possible, which is important as it passes through many blocks/pulleys.
