Hemp rope 36mm made of 100% natural hemp. A durable and tough rope made of high quality. Back in the olden days hemp cordage was used heavily in marine applications as well as for decoration. In later times real natural hemp has begun to be replaced by synthetic hemp ropes, since these tend to last longer outdoors. More and more choose for example to use hemp rope for their stair railings.
This four-stranded hemp rope (36 mm) is not recommended for outdoor use since it can rot within a couple years. Instead it is recommended to use hemp rope made from synthetic fibers.
A real hemp rope has a distinct scent that is difficult to recreate in synthetic ropes. It is also very nice and easy to work with.
