CLIMBING, PRESS RELEASE

Popular climbing rope brand Tendon comes to Sweden!

On October 23, 2020, we are launching the Czech climbing brand Tendon in Sweden. The well-stocked range includes climbing ropes and climbing accessories for all types of climbing regardless of skill level. We have chosen to call this branch of Poly-Products ‘Poly-Safety’, and the products will be sold on our website poly.se. “Thehope is that Tendon will become the natural choice for climbing enthusiasts here in Sweden” – says Christoffer Månsson, product manager for Poly-Safety.

Climbing ropes for everyone

Tendon manufactures dynamic and static climbing ropes, with a focus on durability and flexibility. This well-known climbing brand has been around in Europe since the early 2000s, and now it’s finally coming to Sweden. Tendon was founded in 1998 by the Czech rope manufacturer Lanex. Although the climbing brand is relatively young, Lanex has a long history dating back to 1949, manufacturing various types of ropes for both industrial and boating purposes. Thanks to its modern development, Tendon has taken one of the leading positions in the European market where the demands for climbing ropes are incredibly high. Today, the climbing expert supplies ropes to beginners and professionals alike.

Modern technology

One aspect that has allowed Tendon to climb to a leading position in Europe is mainly due to its modern technology. Secure is a proprietary design, which means that a protective sock between the core and casing of the climbing rope makes the rope very durable. Secure is available in both static and dynamic ropes.

TeFIX is the latest technology developed by Tendon for its dynamic ropes. The design means that the core and sheath are bonded together, resulting in 0% sheath slippage. A very popular construction among climbers.

Tendon’s work for a better environment

To save our environment, climbing expert Tendon has been a member of the EOG (European Outdoor Group) since 2012. This group works to preserve vulnerable environments and provides training on how to achieve more sustainable production of outdoor products.

Climbing professionals are ambassadors

To spread its brand in Europe, Tendon has an ambassador team of prominent climbers living in different parts of the world. Besides being extremely good climbers, this team also acts as test pilots for new products.

Tendon climbs into Sweden

Lanex, which owns the Tendon brand, has been working with us at Poly-Produkter for over 20 years in various areas. The fact that we will be the Swedish distributor of the climbing brand Tendon can therefore be seen as a natural part of the continued cooperation. We have chosen to name this part of Poly-Produkter to Poly-Safety.

“Poly-Safety will have a range of Tendon climbing ropes to suit all different types of climbing, such as rock climbing, indoor climbing, big wall and sport climbing. The ropes are carefully selected to suit both beginners and professionals, and the hope is that Tendon will become the natural choice for climbing enthusiasts here in Sweden.”, says Christoffer Månsson – product manager for Poly-Safety.

Together with Tendon, Christoffer has developed a range that he knows will be popular with climbers around the country. He also hopes that Poly-Safety’s Instagram account will be the place where climbers of all experience come to talk about climbing and get inspired.

“We want to produce the best possible climbing ropes and accessories. If anyone who climbs is missing any product in our range, please feel free to contact us.”, Månsson Poly-Safety.
