Extreme halyard for the experienced sailor or for those who want the absolute best – straight from the manufacturer.
The ProRace One is our most extreme halyard, developed for Ocean Race sailing. This extreme halyard has minimal elongation, virtually no sheath slippage and a very durable cover. A suitable halyard for the experienced racing sailor.
ProRace One is the result of the latest manufacturing technology where we have created a line that has a sheath slippage close to 0%, as well as a working strain of low 0.6%. These features, combined with a virtually indestructible casing, give you an extremely rigid and durable halyard.
You can easily peel the halyard and splice an eye splice at the end.
More information about the casing/sheath:
During production, the rope is pre-stretched several times resulting in a very compact and rigid construction. The casing/sheath is worked through thoroughly. It is made of a mixture of the technical fibers Cordura, Technora and Polyester providing you with a near indestructible casing/sheath. Cordura mainly proves grip and creates friction against the core, which is why sheath slippage is minimized. Technora belongs to the Aramid fibers group (group also includes Kevlar). This fibre makes the casing heat-resistant and increases durability and rigidity.
Last but not least, the halyard casing also includes Polyester which contributes to its high durability.
Dyneema halyard:
Halyard ProRace One has a core containing 100% pre-stretched and heat-treated HMPE-fiber that belongs to the group Dyneema. The fibre provides this halyard stiffness and the extremely low working elongation. The core is PU treated making the rope easy to peel.
