ProRace One – Extreme halyard – Ready for the Ocean Race!
For the experienced sailor looking for absolute top performance, the Halyard ProRace One is our most extreme halyard. Developed for demanding Ocean Race conditions, this line delivers minimal stretch (only 0.6% working stretch) and close to 0% sheath slippage thanks to the latest manufacturing technology. Its exceptionally durable casing and split design make it the obvious choice for those who don’t want to compromise.
Well-designed housing for maximum performance
During production, the rope is stretched several times to achieve a very compact and rigid construction. The cover is a carefully balanced blend of technical fibers:
- Cordura: Provides excellent grip and friction against the core, minimizing jacket slippage.
- Technora: This aramid fiber (similar to Kevlar) makes the cover heat resistant and increases its durability and stiffness.
- Polyester: Further contributes to the halyard’s high abrasion resistance.
Core made of pure HMPE fiber
The ProRace One halyard has a core made of 100% pre-stretched and heat-treated HMPE fiber, which is part of the Dyneema® group. This premium fiber gives the halyard its unique stiffness and extremely low working stretch. The core is also treated to make the line smooth and easy to peel.
